Do you suffer from dark circles under your eyes?
If you do, then you know I don’t use the word ‘suffer’ lightly.
Those of us with dark circles are subject to questions such as, “Are you tired?” “Are you feeling okay?” and “When’s the last time you slept?”
I hate my dark circles.
I don’t even work out in the morning without using concealer to cover my dark circles. That’s how much I hate my dark circles.
I’ve tried many, many brands of concealers and have spent literally hundreds of dollars trying to find a product I like that really works.
Not to mention, I’ve slept with cucumbers under my eyes, tried frozen spoons, and I even tried that weird trick where you use red lipstick to counteract the blue.
So let me save you the trouble.
At 45 years of age, I have FINALLY found a product I love.
I really want to show you how well I think it works. So I am publishing a picture of myself with zero make-up.
My best girlfriends (with whom I exercise first thing in the morning) have never seen me without concealer.
So here I am:
What I did was take all the photos in front of my computer using the photobooth application. I’m hoping you can really see the difference, but please keep in mind I am not a professional photographer.
What I’ve been using is Beautycounter Touchup Skin in Fair.
Prior to this I was using the YSL Touch Eclat. This product is even better than the best selling YSL Touche Eclat and it costs $10 less!
I simply add a few dots under my eyes before blending it in with my fingertip.
As you can see, I chose a color that is pretty bright. It truly covers and the coverage lasts all day.
After I’ve applied it, I use Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer. It has sunscreen in it, not to mention it blends the concealer.
Let’s be clear here. I am not promising to get rid of your dark circles. I am showing you what I think is the best dark circle concealer.
Touchup Skin was my gateway product into the world of Beautycounter. I love it so much, I’m now using their products exclusively.
Here’s what Beautycounter products I’m using:
There I am on the left with zippo make-up on. Nada. Zilch.
On the right I’ve covered my circles with Beautycounter touchup concealer pen in fair. Then I smoothed on Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer. I’ve also lined my eyes with the Color Outline Eye Pencil, added the Lip Sheer in Currant, and swiped on mascara.
It’s undeniable. Makeup can radically transform your appearance – including those awful dark circles!
