Here’s what you need to know about my small home office and craft room.
It is perfection! Everything I ever wanted.
It is 100% representative of me and my style.
Exactly 3 months after we got it that way, we moved.
Whomp. Whomp. Whomp.
But I’m sharing it anyway because it was functional, pretty, and useful. So much so, the buyer of our new home asked if she could please buy the entire thing.
I said yes. And I regret it. Every one of those pieces would fit perfectly in any home with a small office space.
Live and learn.
So let me show you around!
As you can see, the “office” is really just a desk that perfectly fits at the end of a hallway.
This is the same space that used to be our small space exercise room.
I love the two windows on either side. It has lots of sunshine!
Above the desk, we installed a few decorative shelves.
We already had the shelves just sitting around in the back of a closet, but these white wood shelves are similar in style. (I’m also a big fan of these scalloped floating shelves. Aren’t they pretty?)
Once we had the desk and the shelves installed, we shopped Goodwill for accessories.
My daughter found and snagged the decorative pineapple for $1.25!
The top shelf is purely decorative. I added the green tray for color, the shiny pineapple for pop, and the plant for earthiness.
Since I can reach the bottom shelf, I accessorized it with more practical items.
The binders are Erin Condren. In fact, most of my office supplies and planners come from Erin Condren. Like what you see? Click on the link and you can get $10 off your order!
At Goodwill, I found two different size vases for $0.50 each. I used the vases to store and display my craft scissors and pens.
My final Goodwill find was this white desk organizer. It is cheap and plastic, but it only cost me $0.25 and it holds my planner accessories and my blue light blocking glasses.
(You wear blue light blocking glasses too, don’t you?)
I don’t know why I don’t have a picture, but my small home office also has a white hutch with glass doors similar to this one.
The hutch is where I store all of my crafting supplies.
All I did was hunt around my house for jars to store and display my colorful crafting supplies like gift wrap bows, cards, and washi tape.
The craft supplies are so pretty on their own, I really wanted them to be the color in the room.
So there you have it! A desk, some floating shelves, and a hutch on one end of a hallway. It is plenty of space for a small home office and craft room.
I hope you found some inspiration for setting up your own home office.
