Natural Dog Eye Drops can be easily made and administered at home.
Do you have a dog that loves to hang it’s head out the window while riding in the car? ME TOO!
What about a dog with long fur around it’s face where hair gets stuck on their eye and you can see it floating? ME TOO!
These are only two instances where you made need to use natural dog eye drops to flush irritants and debris out of your dog’s eyes.
Of course, it is important to always exercise extra care when treating your dog at home. If you don’t feel confident that using eye drops is the solution to your dog’s problem, be sure to seek the guidance of your vet.
However, if you can see that what is upsetting your dog is something floating in it’s eye, give these drops a try. It could save you hundreds (literally!) on vet bills.
Natural Dog Eye Drops Recipe
- Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in 1 cup purified water.
- Keep this mixture at room temperature.
- Use a saturated cotton ball to squeeze liquid into the eye, or use an eye dropper.
- Use enough liquid to properly flush eye.
I never have an eye dropper at home. I just don’t keep one in my cabinet. (Maybe I should???)
So I’ve found soaking a cotton ball and squeezing it over the eye to be effective.
Please make sure you don’t actually touch the eye. You want to keep the drops sterile.
As an alternative to making your own at home, I can recommend Only Natural Pet’s Eye Care.
However, if you take a look at the ingredients, you’ll find it is basically the same ingredients as the homemade solution.
